I have been to several cities and towns in Asia, Western Europe, and Australia. There is one town that I always remember, named Brugge or Bruges in English, located in Belgium. It is also my wife’s favorite. Brugge is one of medieval age towns still standing today, survived the WW II. The town is very beautiful. It is a masterpiece of Renaissance era in Europe, which makes it enlisted in the World Heritage Site of UNESCO.
We visited Brugge 5 years ago with our kid and my mom. From our hotel (Novotel), we started our journey to enjoy the summer in this town of arts. There were several city sights that we visited.
1. Church of Our Lady, where there was a beautiful white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo around 1504.
2. Basilica of Holy Blood, where the relic of the Holy Blood obtained during the First Crusade was kept.
3. City Hall and Grote Markt, with famous Belfry building.
4. The Lake of Love
5. Many museums
6. Cruising the canals by boat
And many others, I do not remember which they are
And one thing, is the traditional Belgian chocolate. It is the best in the world. Yeah, we hope we could return to Bruges in a few years later.
